About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead workplace safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of safety across operations. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish and hold multiple OSHA certifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  • Train employees and contractors on safety protocols, emergency response, and hazard recognition.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation for audits.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and insurance providers.
  • Promote bilingual safety communication to support diverse teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • OSHA Certifications (Active):
    • OSHA 10-Hour (Construction or General Industry)
    • OSHA 30-Hour (Construction or General Industry)
    • OSHA 500 (Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction)
    • OSHA 501 (Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry)
    • OSHA 510 (Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction)
    • OSHA 511 (Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry)
  • 5+ years of safety management experience in [construction/manufacturing/oil & gas/general industry – specify].
  • Proven track record in reducing incidents and achieving compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent.
  • Experience with safety management software (e.g., Intelex, Cority).
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
